Varsity traveled to Livermore to play the current EBAL 1st Place team, but even the Grizzlies 9 hits could only muster 1 run, as they again stranded 10 runners on base. The game was tied 1-1 in the 5th, but multiple defensive miscues led to the unearned runs and eventual loss — Varsity’s first back-to-back losses this season. A tough Saturday double-header now awaits, as the Grizzlies will play 2 back-to-back games against Benicia and Amador Valley.
JV remained undefeated, as they defeated the Cowboys in Livermore, 6-3 and extended their record to 14-0-1.
